Curriculum Outcome Review
A timed reading of one department’s learner records against the intended curriculum map, ending in a written brief faculty can argue with.
Who it is for
Heads of department, curriculum coordinators, and school leaders who already keep marks, work samples, and scheme documents, and need those materials read together rather than stored in yet another spreadsheet.
What the school receives
A bound written brief that names where learner progress evidence supports the stated curriculum outcomes, where it is silent, and where assessment tasks ask for something the scheme never taught.
Scope
One department or one year group in a single school, covering one completed term or semester. Larger multi-site work is split into successive reviews rather than treated as one undifferentiated project.
Included
- Intake meeting to agree which year group, subjects, and documents are in scope
- Structured reading of existing marks, work samples, and curriculum maps supplied by the school
- Faculty conversations with the teachers who set the work, not with pupils
- A written outcome brief with numbered findings and unanswered questions
- One in-person or remote briefing session with the commissioning staff
Not included
- Teaching classes or substituting for faculty
- Hosting, storing, or transferring pupil records in a cloud account we operate
- Accessing private keys, wallets, exchanges, or any financial account
- Rewriting the national curriculum or inspecting the school for a regulator
Who carries the work
Releasepathbase analysts with school-records experience; the named reviewer stays with the engagement from intake through the briefing.
Sequence
- Commissioning staff send a document inventory (no live pupil identifiers in email if the school prefers codes).
- We agree a reading window and which outcomes from the scheme of work will be traced.
- Records are read on school premises or on a school-owned machine; the optional desktop utility, when used, stays local.
- Findings are drafted, checked against the original samples, and presented in a single briefing.
Duration
Four to six working weeks from a complete document inventory, depending on the volume of work samples.
Where the reading happens
On-site reading in Georgia when travel is agreed; otherwise a scheduled reading on equipment the school controls. Briefings may be held in the department office.
What to prepare
A current scheme of work, the term’s markbook or equivalent, and a sample of assessed pieces per outcome. We do not begin until the inventory is complete.
Limits
We do not copy pupil files off-site without written instruction from the school. Reviews pause if source documents contradict one another without a staff member who can explain the discrepancy.
How the fee is set
Quoted from document volume and number of year groups. A typical single-department review starts from the day-rate schedule on the rates page. See the rates page for day rates and typical ranges.
